Beyond expectations! Not only is the barrel solid, as in firmed up with steel bands and bolts, the door and hinge feel firm and will last a while. The wooden with glass top is a fantastic addition to set the 'table top' up as a display glass for corks, bottle caps, etc... Inside, you get the aroma of - an old wine barrel! Very pleasant smell that you get only when it's open, but it's nice. Inside, there is plenty of room on the shelf and the bottom - we plan to put in lazy suzans on each level as well as some LED lights around the inside of the top and shelf to help see and reach what all is inside...it's a great place for storage of cans/2 liters and of course wine and spirit bottles. The two stools we ordered are FANTASTIC! Very comfortable and built to last. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! You won't be disappointed!
